Mary sang of good news for the poor, just like her unborn child would one day quote Isaiah’s words: The Spirit of the Lord has annointed me to preach good news to the poor and to set free those who are captive and oppressed. Mary may not have known that when the heaven messenger visited her... but she was open to the possibility.
