Welcome to St. David’s United Church on-line worship for September 27, 2020.
Thanks to our lay reader, Janice Storeshaw and our musician, Colin Bonneau.

This Sunday, gather in many places, in homes and in pews, over the internet and over the phone. Wherever you are physically, the Spirit unites us as One!
My name is Leigh and I am thrilled to be joining your community of faith in Leduc and Beaumont! We will spend the first few weeks together listening and learning more about one another as well as continuing to support each other through the extraordinary times we live in.  It is an honour to serve this community with you.

Today we will hear of God's great give of living water.  Present at Creation, it was given to the Hebrew people in the desert during the Exodus and then given to all people in the incarnation of Love, Jesus of Nazareth. May this great gift call us to consider how much God continues to nourish and sustain us.  What areas of our lives seem to have abundant waters and what areas seem to be dry?  How can we support one another by listening deeply to each other over a cup of tea or by gifting one another with "a cold cup of water" (i.e a refreshing understanding ear).  Let us listen and learn in God’s gift of holy time.  Let us both listen to those in need and ask for support when we are feeling thirsty for hope.

Let us pray: God may you open up my heart this day to the living water of Grace you provide.  Help me hear of Jesus' challenge to listen for you by listening to those in need and by asking for help when we are in need.  Your living Hope is not something that can run out, so I need not fight for my share.  May my heart to open to you love and remind me that wherever we are..there you are! Thanks be to you God!  Amen

Blessings!
