Christ is risen! Hallelujah!

Welcome to our Easter Celebration. Words and music are included for “Halle, Halle, Halle” (No. 958 in Voices United), so sing along.

Thanks to Ron Thompson and Colin Bonneau for the music, the Baerends family for the readings, and Mary-Ann McDonald for changing the sanctuary decorations.

Preparations

If you have a candle ready, you could light it after the scripture readings.

There will be time to add your own prayers (about 20 seconds of silence), so before you start the video, you might want to jot down some ideas.: Give thanks for examples of new life... Pray for places and people who are in need of new life... During this prayer time, each person could light a tea light or candle, or add a tissue paper flower to a vase (see instructions below).

Blessings, and Happy Easter!

Stuart

How to make Tissue Paper Flowers

  • Take 2 or 3 squares (6 inch or 15 cm) of coloured tissue paper, and print words or draw symbols to reflect your prayers.
  • Stack the papers, and push your finger into the centre to create a tube.
  • Wrap wire, tape or string around the end of the tube, and fluff the petals.

Alleluia! Christ is Risen. He has risen indeed. Easter blessings. I enjoyed the service.
