We practice our faith regularly and seek to equip the community faith for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.   

This month we will be looking at how we can share our times, monies and talents with St. David’s in a practice of giving. We do this out of gratitude for all God has given us. 

 

For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 

You are invited this week to give thanks for all those who have given to St. David’s over the years. 

They trusted the future church to use their gifts well. 

Women in the UCW of the 50s may never have imagined how our UCW uses technology to stay in touch but they gave their time and talent to serve our church. 

Donors to the Ministry and Building Funds would never have guessed how long our furnaces lasted (40 years) before needing replacement. 

Donors to the Memorial Fund would never have given to a “future livestreaming options” fund in 1970s but because they trusted the Fund with their gifts we now have full screens and online worship services! 

Leaders of Sunday School, upon meeting our current teachers as children did not know which would grow up to teach one day …but they lead and loved all and now a few teach in that ministry! 

 

They trusted the future church to use their gifts well. Thanks be to God!
